I’ve Added a Forum

When I created this website I didn’t know if anyone would find it helpful. Never in my wildest imagination did I think this site would have as many visitors as it now does, and I appreciate all of the kind words that I have gotten, both in private and in comments on my site.

Most of the pages on this site have gotten hundreds of comments. Many of the comment contain information that is helpful to others, but the sheer number of comments makes it difficult to find what is helpful and what isn’t. That is why I have added a forum, to make it easier for people to seek and find help regarding feline stomatitis.

I invite you to take a look and contribute. You can ask questions, tell what worked for you and your cat, or even share memories of cats you’ve lost.

You can visit the forum here.

    Miriam,

I’m so sorry that you are having difficulties registering.

I’ve created two test accounts and didn’t have any problems so please tell me what specifically is happening when you try? Here is the link for registering – http://stomatitisincats.com/forum/index.php?action=register

  2. My Kitty Tiger has stomatitis; I have had him for 3 yrs he is actually a neighbor cat that was thrown out side. I felt sorry for him and took him in.
after awhile I noticed something was wrong so I took him to the vet where she told me that he had this horrible illness. I get so depressed and frustrated when he is not feeling well. I have a difficult time giving him the antibiotic by mouth. he won’t let me near his mouth when it is hurting him. What advise can you give me in regards to giving him his medicine. I don’t want to hurt him more than he is already hurting by forcing his mouth open.

    Josie,

Have you tried mixing the antibiotic with food that he likes? Perhaps a bit of wet food? Just make sure it is completely mixed so your cat can’t eat around it. I don’t know if this will help but I made a video showing how I give Lysine and PlaqueOff to Lily. You can see it here – http://stomatitisincats.com/how-i-give-lysine-and-plaqueoff-to-lily

    Lehua,

I’m so sorry! I regret that I don’t know why this is happening. There was an update available for the forum so I just now installed it and that might make a difference. If not, try registering using a different browser. The only other thing I can think to suggest is to click the “Listen to the letters” link.
